A-Z Guide to your Perfect Wedding: T is for…

TRANSPORT
It might be tradition for the bride to arrive late to her wedding but the rest of the bridal party should be on time. It is therefore important to consider how they will be getting to the church/venue. It is common practice for the bride to arrive with her father, the mother-of-the-bride, mother-of-the-groom and bridesmaids will then require transport and would usually go together. A limousine is a popular choice here due to the amount of space they offer. The Groom, his father and the Ushers tend to travel to the venue at the same time, ahead of the rest of the bridal party so they are present when the guests arrive to meet & greet. There are so many forms of transport available these days from the traditional horse & carriage or vintage car to retro camper vans. Shop around and choose a mode of transport that is in keeping with the style of your wedding.

Other T’s to consider: Thank You Cards – These are a must as a way of showing gratitude not only for the gifts that you received but also to thank your guests for sharing in your special day with you, as without them the party would have been pretty dull. People don’t expect to receive a Thank You Card the very next day but a year later would be silly so an acceptable time-scale for sending them out is generally within 3 months.
