Perfect Wedding Gift

Whether you are trying to buy the perfect wedding gift, or struggling to assemble a list of your own it can be difficult to know what to ask for. Here, we have a few ideas that might inspire treats you’d like to receive or buy for your favourite couple.

An experience/ day out

If physical items just aren’t cutting it, then why not invest in a unique day out or amazing experience that the newly weds can enjoy. Some cool ideas are a theatre trip or annual museum membership for culture vultures or a grand prix or super car experience for petrol heads. A balloon ride or pamper day might also be married to allow the couple to spend some time together and have a once in a lifetime trip.

Personalised Canvas

The Internet is awash with companies that supply these. You could print an image you took of them at their engagement party, or maybe one from their early days together. Alternatively why not get one done showing the coordinates of the location they met, or are getting married. The couples new names or a scrabble board of influential people and places during their relationship are also available if you look hard enough so get creative for a very thoughtful gift.

Artwork

Not the personlised kind this time, but the one off originals by artists that will retain their value. If you don’t know much about art do ask the seller, shop assistant or artist themselves. If you know a little about the couples tastes as well as their home space this will help enormously. Wherever they live they will always remember that special piece of work that was a wedding present and it can stay in their home for life.

Tree or Plant

If you’re green fingered, or are buying for a couple that love to be outside then maybe a tree or plant they can nurture would be the perfect present. A rose bush, or Olive tree can last years and again, will be a special addition to the garden. It is a lovely idea to give them a gift that can grow with them, as a couple, like a new exciting start.

Camera

This may seem like a pretty pricey present, but if there’s a few people teaming up to purchase it then what a great gift to allow your couple to capture their adventures from the honey moon as well as for the years to come. It’s almost like giving them the power of capturing memories whilst being reminded of their special day and the people that bought them such a wonderful gift!

Celebratory Glasses

Are you champagne connoisseurs? Or is a drop of whisky more up the street of the couple you’re buying for? Whatever is your poison a pair of beautifully cut glasses will stand the test of time and enable you to toast your marriage until death do you part! A nice extra touch is getting the names and date of the couple into the base of or on the side of the glass.
